Watch as herds of elephants cross the river, giraffe come to drink, hippos bathe in their pods, monkeys chatter through the trees and if you are lucky watch the cats amble down the river banks in search of their next meal. Lodge & Accommodation
Surrounded by untouched wilderness the lodge blends luxury and sustainability. The eco-friendly lodge leaves behind nothing but great memories whilst maintaining a high level of comfort and style. The tents and chalets all have excellent river views for uninterrupted wildlife viewing from the luxury of your own room.
Choose from the luxury en-suite chalets that can be fully opened to the views of the river and the stars; the classic double en-suite tents a taste of true safari which have both indoor and outdoor showers; or the twin en-suite tents in true explorer style
Game Drive
Your guide will accompany you on a short boat ride through the hippo pods and crocodile sunbathing spots across the river into the park for our morning and evening game drives. Once in the vehicle you can start your incredible wilderness experience. Known as the valley of the leopards South Luangwa boasts some of the highest concentration of cats with an approximation of 3 leopards per square kilometre! Not to be outdone the park has several prides of lion including the famous descendants of Ginger and Garlic the pale males of the Mfuwe sector.
However it is not all cats. The wild dog population in the park is booming with some packs of over 20 strong dogs and several dens scattered within the park. Formed for the protected species of the Thornicroft giraffe endemic to the area you can see herds of zebra, buffalo, Cookson’s Wildebeest and elephants. With 14 species of antelope, monkeys, baboons, warthog, hyena and much more it is a safari enthusiasts paradise.
